Tips for searching - find machinery quickly

Browse By Category

The Browse by Category on the homepage combines machinery from all sections (Clearing Sales, Private Sales & Dealer Sales) gathered in to one place, sorted by categories, making it easy for you!

Eg. Selecting the Tractors & Loaders category from Browse By Category will display results for any Tractor or Loader that is for sale at a Clearing Sale, a Private Ad or in a Dealers yard.

Get Alerts

Creating alerts is an easy way for you to get notified as soon as an item you are looking for becomes available (for sale) within a Clearing Sale, Private Sale or Dealer Sale.

Head to your Dashboard to set up your notifications:

  • Enter the item you are seeking in to the Keywords field (Eg Landcruiser)
  • Choose how you prefer to be notified (email/sms)
  • Choose when to receive the notification
  • SAVE

You can create as many alerts as you like, on as many different items as you like.

Guidelines for Posting An Ad

  • Clear Title: Make sure your title clearly describes what the item is. This will help you appear in more search results. Eg: Hardi Commander Boomspray 4220B will appear in search results for “boomspray”. However 2019 Hardi Commander 4220B will not appear in search results for "boomspray".
  • Be Descriptive: Describe the item you are selling. The more information you can provide, the more likely you are to make a sale at the price you're looking for. Be honest in your description.
  • Choose the right Category: Be sure to select the right category when you post the ad, as this will determine where your ad appears in Private Sales and the Browse By Category
  • Include Photos: Include as many clear, good quality photos as possible. If you’re not great with a camera or phone, ask someone to give you a hand!
  • Share: Once your ad is live. You can now share your ad via SMS, email and social media. So go ahead and get it out there!
